Fix “Kodi System Menu Missing” Issue
However, users may experience a few minor issues while using Kodi application. ‘Kodi System menu missing ‘ is one among the issues which users may come across. On Kodi home screen users may not find ‘System’ option under Settings. Let’s see a few possible ways to restore the system menu.
- If you are using Kodi on your PC, then long-press the back key. Now go to shut down menu and click on ‘settings’ and press ‘’S’’ key on the keyboard. Now, using keymap, temporarily add a button in-order to simulate ‘’S’’ key. Note: Keymaps are XML base files which define the mapping of keys to Kodi actions.
- Go to Kodi skins addon_data folder and delete ‘settings.xml’ file and now you have to start from the scratch.
- Go to Settings à Appearance à Skins and make sure skin you were using is existing. If not, switch to new skin.
- If your issue is not solved, then try by switching to ‘Confluence’ skin. To do this, Go to Settings à Appearance à Skins à Confluence à Now Kodi will work properly and if your System menu is restored, you can change to your favourite skin.
If the System menu is not restored after trying all possible ways, then uninstall Kodi and re-install.
