unknown sources’. Again select ‘ turn on ‘ to confirm download from unknown sources.

Step 4: Then, go to ‘settings’ again and select ‘preference à privacy settings’. Now,

turn off ‘collect app usage data’ and ‘device usage data’.

Method 1: Installation of Google Play Store app on Firestick using Downloader app.

Downloader is an app which enables you to download apps which are not available in the Amazon store. Downloader app is completely free of cost and ad-free. File size of this app is small, hence consumes very less device space. At first, the user needs to install the downloader app and then they can sideload and install Google Play Store using downloader app on their Firestick. Downloader app is officially available in the Amazon store. Go to the home screen of your Amazon Firestick device and search for ‘downloader’ app. Then, click on ‘get’ option to install the app. Once installation completes, you can see the ‘Downloader’ app in the Apps & Games section. Next, follow the below steps to install Google play store app on Firestick.

Step1 : Open downloader app on your device. You can several options in the vertical bar at the left side of the screen. Select ‘ Home’  from these options.

Step 2: A new window will appear now. You can see the URL field on the window. Press the select button on your remote to select the URL field.

Step 3: To install Google play store app, you need to download apk file of this Android app. So, enter the official URL for Goggle play store Apk download.

Step 4: After entering the URL, click on the ‘GO’ option. Google play store mobile app   Apk file will start to download now.

ES file explorer is another app by using which Firestick users can install the Google Play Store app.  ES File Explorer app is available in the Amazon store. Initially, download and install ES file explorer app on your Firestick by following simple instructions on the screen. After installation, follow the below steps to sideload and install Google Play Store.

Step 1: Open ES file explorer app on your device. You can find several options on the left side vertical bar.  Select the ‘ Tools’ option from the list.

Step 2: Next, select ‘download manager‘ under tools.

Step 3: A new window will appear. Then, click on ‘+New’ option. A pop-up window will appear, enter official URL of Google Play Store app  Apk file download link to download Apk file of the app and type the app name in the specified space.

For Android phone users, there is a simple way to sideload apps on your Firestick.  Using ‘Apps2Fire’ app Android users can sideload the apps they have in their Android phone to their Firestick.

Step 1: Download and install ‘’Apps2Fire’’ app on your Android device.

Step 2: Go to ‘settings’ in the Firestick home screen and select ‘device’.

Step 3: Few options will appear on the screen now. Select ‘Developer options’. Then , enable ‘ADB debugging’.

Note: Note down the IP address of your Firestick by navigating to settings à FirestickàNetwork.

Step 4: Next, open ‘Apps2Fire’ app on your Android device. Click on the overflow menu icon (three vertical dots)

Step 5: Now select ‘setup’ and then enter the IP address of your Firestick you have noted down earlier. Then click on the ‘save’ option.

Step 6: Go to the home screen of ‘Apps2Fire’ app and select the upload option at the top right portion of the screen.

Step 7: Next, select Google Play store app and tap on the ‘install’ option. Apps2Fire will install the Google Play Store app on Firestick in the background.
